1991 First diamond wheel

1991 the first machine got equipped with a diamond wheel (Ø1000 mm). It was the start of "clean lapping".

1994  Modernization in Germany

In 1994 the company in Germany was expanded and equipped with the new 2-wheels flat honing technique.

1996 Acquisition of the distribution rights from Hahn+Kolb

In 1996 A.W. Stähli AG took the production and distribution rights for the 2-wheels lapping and polishing machines from Hahn+Kolb over. Today the machines are called "ZL machines".

1996 FLM 4000-P

Also in 1996 A.W. Stähli realized the biggest project they have ever done, a FLM 400-P with pitch polishing wheels.

1996 Foundation of the establishment in North America

Foundation of Stähli USA Inc. in Rhode Island as a sales and service company in North America.

1997 Acquisition of the distribution rights from MYLÄP

1997 A.W. Stähli AG was also able to acquire the production and distribution rights of MYLÄP lapping, cylindrical lapping and polishing machines.
